3 bunches of fresh collard greens
1 12 oz package of Hobes Ham Hock Country Ham
Apple cider vinegar
Salt
pepper
sugar
bacon grease
onion powder
garlic powder
1 Yellow Onion
Vegetable broth

Directions:
Directions:
Remove stems
Clean with cold water until water is clear
in a large pot add 1/4 cup of bacon grease
Heat stove to medium
Dice 1 onion and add to pot
Slice 1 piece of ham hock and add to pot
Add greens
Add 1/2 container of vegetable broth
Add 1/4 cup of water or until the greens are covered
Cook for 1 hour
Check food: If water has reduced add water to cover greens
Cook 20 minutes
1 teaspoon of vinegar
Add 3 tablespoons of salt
Add 4 tablespoons of sugar
Add 2 table spoons of pepper
Add 2 tablespoons of onion powder
Add 2 tablespoons of garlic pepper
Add 2 tablespoons of Creole Seasoning
Cook for 45 minutes on medium
TASTE TEST!
Greens should be tender and chewy. Not Mushy
Taste test! Greens should be not salty or sweet but a combination of both.
