6 lbs. Apples (Fuji work well)
2 C. Sugar
1 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Allspice
3 oz. Red Hots Candy

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine sugars and spices.
2. Wash apples. Peel, core and slice apples into 1 inch pieces
3. Place apples in crock pot.
4. Stir in sugar mixture and red hots.
5. Cook on low for 12hrs.
6. Using immersion blender blend apples into puree.
7. Remove lid from crock pot and cook apples 2-3 hours longer on low. Until they reach the consistency you are looking for (spreadable).
8. Ladel apple butter into sterilized jars and process in water bath for 10 minutes. (follow water bath sterilization instructions for the jars prior to canning)

Makes 5 pint jars.
