6 large peppers (red and green)
1 1/4 lbs ground sirloin
3/4 lb ground pork unseasoned
1 cup long grain rice (washed)
1 medium onion
2 tbsp sugar
salt, pepper, garlic powder
1 large can tomato juice
1 small tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all meat together with seasonings. Add rice and mix through.

Take peppers and cut tops off. Fill peppers but don't pack. Make meatballs with remaining mixture. Use tall kettle.

Add tomato juice. Sprinkle sugar over top, add the tomato sauce and stir. Add salt and pepper. Add peppers and make sure peppers are covered with the sauce.

Cover and put on med heat until hot. Simmer for 3 hours. Take peppers out and thicken gravy if needed with cornstarch and water.

Serve with mashed potatoes.
