* 1/2 cup of ground tomatoes, preferably 7/11 or DiNapoli
* 1/4cup of tomato paste, preferably Contadina
* Pinch of dried oregano
* Pinch of fine sea salt
* 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
* 1/4 cup hand, crushed tomatoes from 4 to 5 whole peeled, plum or pear tomatoes preferably Valeroso or DiNapoli

Since you are using fresh Ingredients if you can make it a day ahead.

In a bowl, combine ground tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and oil. Purée with an immersion blender until smooth. Stir in hand, crushed tomatoes. Taste the sauce and add more salt if you think it needs it.

This will make a cup of sauce, which will be enough for two pizzas. If you have extra sauce, you can keep it in the fridge for a few days or in the freezer for up to a month.
