1½ cup dark brown sugar
1 cup butter (room temperature)
2 Tablespoons milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and brown sugar in a large bowl with mixer either hand or electric fitted with paddle attachment on high speed until creamy. Add vanilla and mix well.

Add baking powder to flour and whisk to mix

Mix butter and flour by hand.

Put. Mixer bowl back on stand and combine dry ingredients until well combined

Mix in milk slowly until it comes together Beat dough until it becomes smooth.

Split dough in half and place on piece of plastic wrap. Shape into roll about 2½ in circumference by wrapping firmly in plastic. Keep in fridge at least 3 hours or longer.

Preheat oven to 350º line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Cut dough log into ¼ inch thick pieces. It is important to leave enough space around cookies. They will expand.

It takes 12 to 15 minutes for cookies to turn golden brown. Allow cookies to sit on sheet for about 6 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool.
