2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
½ c. Crisco
1 stick oleo (butter)
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. cocoa
½ c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
1 stick oleo (butter)
4 Tbsp. cocoa
6 Tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift sugar and flour together. In big saucepan, bring the oleo, Crisco, water and cocoa to a boil. Pour over flour mixture. While hot, add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan at 400º for 25 minutes.

For icing, bring the oleo, cocoa. and milk to a boil. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread onto cake while both are hot.
