1 roll of cresent roll dough (in the tube)
1 block of cream cheese
1 roll of Bob Evans Zesty Hot sausage (red roll)
1 egg

o Heat oven to 350°F. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.
o In 10-inch nonstick skillet, fry 1 roll of Bob Evans Zesty Hot sausage, remove all grease, then add 1 block of cream cheese and melt into the sausage.
o Unroll 1 tube of cresent roll dough into 1 long rectangle onto cookie sheet. Press into 16x8-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations and seams to seal.
o Spoon sausage/cream cheese mixture in 4-inch wide strip lengthwise down center of rectangle. With sharp knife, make cuts 1 inch apart on long sides of dough rectangle to within 1/2 inch of sausage/cream cheese mixture. Fold/cross over strips of dough up over sausage/cream cheese mixture to meet in center; pinch to seal ends.
o In small bowl, beat an egg with whisk or fork; brush evenly onto dough. This makes it prettier/shiny.
o Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet; cut into crosswise slices. Serve warm.

I always make this for guests as it looks like you took great care in making a "braided" breakfast and it tastes great! If you don't like spicy foods, you may substitute for other sausage. Enjoy!
