Ingredients: 1st LAYER (Crust) 1 c self-rising flour 1/3 C brown sugar 1 C finely chopped pecans 1 stick soft butter
2nd LAYER 8 (oz) cream cheese, softened 1 C powdered sugar 1 C Cool Whip from (12 oz)
3rd LAYER 2 (3.5 oz) instant pudding 2 1/2 C milk
4th LAYER Rest of Cool Whip Chopped Pecans

Directions:1st LAYER (Crust): Mix flour, sugar and pecans together. Cut in butter and spread in 9x13 inch Pyrex or pan. Press down. Bake for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool 2nd LAYER: Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar and cool whip. Beat until smooth. Spread on cooled crust. 3rd LAYER: Blend pudding and milk together for 2 minutes. Spread on 2nd layer 4th LAYER Spread rest of Cool Whip on top of pudding mixture and sprinkle with pecans.
Refrigerate until you are ready to serve it.
Variations: There are no limits - Just use your favorite flavors of pudding. - Use combination layers of vanilla and chocolate pudding. - Pistachio is great for St Patrick’s Day or Easter. - Lemon and Lime flavors make a lighter dessert. - Regular whipped cream can also be used instead of Cool Whip.
- A FAVORITE. Banana Split - Layer bananas and strawberries between cream cheese and pudding layer. Serve with chocolate syrup on top of Cool Whip.

Notes: YUMMY! My sister sent this recipe to me in the 70’s. The original recipe used Butterscotch Pudding. Another great dessert to take to a potluck or the office. A favorite request! I just started putting my own twist on this recipe. It can be made in advance and refrigerated.
