Layered Jello Salad Recipe

1 lg package red Jello
1 lg package green Jello
2 8 oz packages cream cheese
1 small can crushed pineapple
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Using a 13 x 9 glass baking dish, prepare green Jello as indicated on package.
Drain pineapple and add to the green Jello, stir carefully and pour into the baking dish. Refrigerate until Jello is very firm, about 2 hours.
Using a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth.
If the Jello is firm, remove from refrigerator and spread the cream cheese evenly over the green Jello.
Return to refrigerator until cream cheese is set and firm, about 1 hour.
Prepare red Jello as indicated on package and add the sliced strawberries.
Once the cream cheese layer is set and firm, remove from refrigerator and carefully spoon, DO NOT POUR, red Jello on top of cream cheese layer.
Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top, if desired.
Return to refrigerator to firm completely, about 2 hours.
Cut into squares and serve as a salad or dessert.
