2 cups gluten free flour ( Bulk Barn 1-1)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp salt
3/4butter
1cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses

1:4 granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325F
Combine dry ingredients.
Cream butter and shortening.
Beat in egg and molasses.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Stir in dry ingredients. Refrigerate till firm.


Optional: stir 1/4 cup preserved ginger

Shape into small balls and roll each in the sugar.
Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
