Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Sift flour, 1/2 of soda, baking powder and salt and set aside. Dissolve 1/2 tsp of soda in hot water and set aside. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla and beat until creamy at least 3 minutes. Beat in eggs for additional 1 minutes. Add the dissolved soda and then gradually add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Using a 2 T cookie scoop, drop onto ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. (12 per/sheet) -

Bake for 9-11 minutes for soft and 12 minutes for crispy.

NOTES:
Depending on the brand of flour, you may need to increase/decrease by 1/4 C. Usually if you use White Lily, you will need to use more.

Place cookie sheet in refrigerator for at least 15-20 min. Cook for 15 min. They will not spread as much.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I never cared for Chocolate Chip Cookies so when I would make them I would divide the batter in half and make some plain and some with chips. This makes a perfect chocolate chip cookie.
