3 C flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 C butter softened
1/2 C granulated sugar
1/2 C dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 C light brown sugar
1 T vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz pkg chocolate chips
1 C chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
1 C coconut, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, soda, baking powder and salt and set aside. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla and beat until creamy at least 3 minutes. Beat in eggs for additional 2 minutes. Gradually add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Using a 2 T cookie scoop, drop onto ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. (12 per/sheet) - Place cookie sheet in freezer or refrigerator for at least 15-20 min. If refrigerated, cook for 15 min. If you freeze - cook 18 min.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 10 minutes for soft and 12 minutes for crispy

I never cared for Chocolate Chip Cookies so when I would make them I would divide the batter in half and make some plain and some with chips. This makes a perfect chocolate chip cookie.
