2 C flour
3/4 C chopped pecans
1/2 C strawberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks and beat well. Add flour and nuts. Mixture will be crumbly. Spread half of mixture in pan. Spread with preserves and top with remainder of mixture.

Bake 40- 45 min (9x9 inch) pan or bake 50-60 min (8x8 inch) pan. Cool completely before cutting and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I have made these using apricot jam instead of strawberry and they are delicious.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mother made these every Christmas as long as I can remember. Use the best jam you can find so they will have an intense flavor. The original recipe was called "Czechoslovakian Bars". Heaven only knows where she got the recipe, but they are delicious
