Ingredients:  
3 c. sugar
⅔ c. milk
1-8 oz. pkg. dates, chopped
Lump of butter, size of egg
1 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Let sugar and milk come to a boil; add butter and chopped dates. Let cook until soft ball stage. Beat until cool and add nuts. Roll in damp towel. Slice when cool.

This recipe was given to Ginger in a Christmas gift from Bruce when he was in Ada Beth Small's class at East Side School in Jacksonville. This candy was a favorite of Lincoln Barber, IV.
