4 teaspoons white peppercorns or Sichuan peppercorns
1 tablespoon whole cloves
8 star anise pods
1 (3”) cinnamon stick, broken into pieces

Directions:
Directions:

  1. Process fennel seeds, peppercorns, and cloves in a spice grinder, about 30 seconds; transfer to a small bowl.

  2. Process star anise and cinnamon stick in new empty grinder until finely ground, about 30 seconds

  3. Transfer to bowl with fennel mixture and stir to combine.
