1/2 cup vinegar
5 tsp salt
Pinch of alum
1 flower of fresh dill or 1 tsp of dill seed
3 cloves of fresh garlic
1 tsp pickling spice
1 fresh grape leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Pack sucks in qt jars and to each qt add the above ingredients. Fill each jar with water. This all packed cold. Put lids on jars tight and shake well. Put jars upside down one day to check for leaks. Next day right side up. Then down the third day . If they leak tighten up lids more. They won't seal, but should not leak.
