9 inch unbaked pie crust

1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 heaping c. pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, butter, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into crust; sprinkle with pecan halves. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in a gas oven; 60 to 65 minutes in an electric oven.

A toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean when done. If the crust or pecans brown too quickly, cover with foil for remaining time.
