4 C. sugar
1 C. light corn syrup
Dash of salt
3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ C. chopped pecans
Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup, ¾ C. water and salt in 2 quart-size glass bowls.
Microwave on high for 19 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
Beat egg whites until very stiff.
Gradually, pour hot syrup over egg whites.
Beat at high speed for 2 minutes until thick and candy begins to lose its gloss.
Fold in vanilla and pecans.
Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.
