Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Cake:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup melted unsalted butter

Cinnamon Swirl:
½ cup softened unsalted butter
¾ cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon powder

Cream Cheese Frosting:
4 oz cream cheese, softened (113g)
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-3 tablespoons milk (as required for consistency)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Use parchment paper or grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Whisk flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a large bowl until well mixed.

In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs and vanilla extract until it becomes smooth.

Pour wet ingredients into dry ones; mix them together just until they combine. Then gradually add melted butter while stirring continuously until the batter smoothes out.

Prepare cinnamon swirl in a different bowl by mixing softened butter with brown sugar and ground cinnamon till fully combined.

Take half of cake batter and spread it evenly onto prepared baking dish. Put spoonfuls of cinnamon swirl mixture on top of this layer then use knife or spatula to mix them together by creating waves across entire surface area of cake pan.

Spread remaining cake batter over topmost layer containing cinnamon swirls. Again drop dollops from remaining portion belonging to latter onto former and create patterns with knife or spatula that will form beautiful designs when baked.

Spread the left over cake mixture on top of the layer where cinnamon is swirled. Next, you may put spoonfuls of the remaining cinnamon swirl mixture on top of the batter. Swirl it into the highest layer of batter.

Put in preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

While waiting for the cake to cook, let’s make cream cheese frosting. Beat together softened cream cheese and butter till smooth in a mixing bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until well blended. Add milk if necessary to achieve your desired consistency.

Once done baking, take out from oven and allow cooling in pan for about 10 minutes.

While still warm, pour or drizzle (or spread) cream cheese frosting over top of cake. Serve slices warm or at room temperature with coffee!

This recipe is one among my favorite recipes because it combines two amazing flavors- Cinnamon Buns & Cake! It can be enjoyed as breakfast, brunch, or dessert – what more could you ask for?
