Personal Notes:
Robin writes: Thinking of my father's apple pie reminds me of a cozy, autumn afternoon in my house filled with the amazing scent of fresh, baked apples. While I would eagerly be waiting for the pie to come out of the oven, I would enjoy the delicious leftover apples. My father has been making tasty baked good for as long as I can remember. Although they are all delicious in their own way, his apple pie definitely has to be one of my favorites. It has made me a huge critic of all other apple pies that are never quite as good. Even though it's a simple recipe. I think it's an easy one to mess up, but his never disappoints. I look forward to enjoying this pie every year during the time when apples are peacefully waiting to be picked on the trees. Even though slicing apples can be a pain, especially when you're just doing it with a knife, I still would enjoy helping him with this task because the reward is always well worth it.
