1. 1 cup dark molasses
2. 1½ cup dark brown sugar
3. 4 Tbsp butter
4. ½ cup water
5. 1½ Tbsp vinegar
6. ¼ tsp salt
7. ⅛ tsp soda
8. 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Add first six ingredients to saucepan and cook, stirring occasionally, until it forms a hard ball when a little is dropped into cold water (254º F on candy thermometer).
2. Add soda.
3. Pour onto well buttered platter sprinkled with chopped nuts.
4. When cool enough to handle, pull until light colored and it begins to harden. Stretch to desired thickness and cut into one-inch pieces with shears.
5. Wrap in paper.
