Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4-6 cups of pears (or apples)
Put fruit fresh or lemon on fruit to keep from turning brown.
3 cups apple juice
1 large cook to serve vanilla pudding
cinnamon (to taste)
3 Tbs. flour
pinch salt
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pears or apples in apple juice until almost tender.

Take 1 large cook to serve vanilla pudding, cinnamon, 3 Tbs. flour and pinch of salt and mix together. When apples are done, pour dry ingredients into pear or apple mixture slowly and mix well. This should thicken the pear (or apple) mixture. (NOTE: If you make this mixture the day before and let refrigerate overnight, it sets up better).

Make 2 pie crusts. Put crust in the bottom of pie plate. Add cooled apple mixture to crust. Top mixture with generous amounts of butter pats. Add crust to top pie. Make slits. Bake on a cookie sheet (for spillage) at 375 degrees for approximately 35 minutes or until golden brown.

If baking a frozen pie that you made ahead of time, cook at 375 degrees for about 1 hour or until golden brown.
