1 cup cold water
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1/2 tsp dried crushed chilies
1/2 tsp onion powder

5 tsp oil
3/4 lb (about 3) boneless, skinless, chicken breast halves, cut into bit size pieces

1 tsp oil
6 cups thinly sliced mixed vegetables, such as carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, green peppers)
1 med onion, peeled and cut lengthwise into wedges
2 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce: Combine first 6 ingredients in small bowl. Set aside. Makes about 1 1/2 cups sauce.

Heat first amount of oil in n on stick frying pan or wok on med0high heat. Add chicken. Stir fry for about 4 minutes until no pink remains in chicken. Remove to bowl.

Heat second amount of oil in same frying pan or wok. Stir fry next 3 ingredients for about 8 minutes, until tender-crisp. Add chicken. Stir sauce. Add to chicken mixture. Heat and stir until boiling and thickened.
