1 lb. hamburger meat
1 small onion
2 garlic cloves, pressed
¼ c. beef broth
32 oz. marinara sauce
¼ tsp. dried thyme
½ tsp. sea salt
¼ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. sugar
16 oz. lasagna noodles
15 oz. reduced fat ricotta cheese
16 oz. low fat cottage cheese
1 egg
1 lb. mozzarella cheese
½ water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large deep pan over medium heat, combine ground beef and onion; cook until no longer pink.
Add garlic and saute 1 to 2 minutes.
Add ¼ c. beef broth and simmer until nearly evaporated, about 5 minutes.
Add 3 c. marinara, ½ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. pepper, ¼ tsp. thyme, ½ tsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. parsley.
Mix well, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine 15 oz. ricotta cheese, 16 oz. cottage cheese, 1 large egg, 1 c. mozzarella cheese, and 2 tbsp. parsley; mix well.
Lightly oil slow cooker.
Spread 1 c. marinara sauce on bottomm then top with 3 lasagna noodles, top that with ⅓ meat sauce, sprinkle with ¾ c. mozzarella cheese, then top with ½ c. ricotta cheese mixture; repeat layers until there are 3 layers.
Top third layer with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella and ½ c. water around the edges.
Cook on low for 3 ½ to 4 hours, top with remaining cheese and cook another 10 minutes.
