Crust:
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter

Caramel layer:
2/3 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup pecans
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine crust ingredients with mixer. Press firmly into ungreased 8 x 8 inch pan. Sprinkle pecans on unbaked crust. Prepare caramel layer and pour over pecans and crust. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until caramel layer is bubbly. Sprinkle with chocolate chips immediately. Melt slightly (2-3 minutes) and swirl. Let cool until hardened (takes several hours to set). Cut into squares.

Caramel layer:
In saucepan, combine sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until entire surface is boiling. Boil 30-60 seconds stirring.
