1 med Sweet onion
2 TBSP Olive oil
1 tsp Minced garlic
1/4 c Fresh basil
1/4 c Vodka
2-1/2 Spicy Italian sausages
24 oz Bertolli tomato & basil sauce
15 oz Bertolli creamy alfredo sauce
16 oz Rigatoni or Penne pasta
4 oz Shredded parmesan cheese

Directions:

1 Fill pasta pot with water, a splash of olive oil, and set aside for now.
2 Chop onion.
3 Finely chop fresh basil leaves.
4 Remove casings from sausages.
5 In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat 1 TBSP of olive oil.
6 Fry sausages, frequently chopping to get crumbles as fine as possible. Set aside.
7 Put pasta pot of water on a burner, and turn on high to start boiling.
8 In a large skillet, heat 1 TBSP olive oil over medium heat.
9 Cook onions until tender and translucent
10 Add garlic, and cook an additional minute.
11 Stir in vodka, and cook an additional minute.
12 Add sausage previously set aside, and stir everything thouroughly.
13 Slowly add both jars of sauces.
14 When the pasta water is boiling, cook pasta according to package directions.
15 Keep sauce on medium heat, but don't let it boil, stirring frequently.
16 When pasta is cooked to desired firmness, drain water out, and return pasta to pot.
17 Pour sauce over pasta in pot, and mix together thoroughly.
18 Scoop out desired serving on a plate, and sprinkle some fresh basil in top.
19 Add shredded Parmesan, if desired.
20 ENJOY!

NON-MEAT VERSIONS
4 If using shrimp, remove shells and tails.
6 If using shrimp, saute the shrimp until opaque and cooked through. Set aside.

6 If using chorizo crumbles, saute until broken apart and starting to brown. Set aside.
