Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
First of all, I have always had the drive to be someone, someone special, someone that would be remembered for doing good, for achieving something special, to be acknowledged as one who has made a difference. When 10-years-old, I wanted to be a Missionary, then later a teacher, a writer, a successful businesswoman, well when I met John's Aunt Mary Roebling, she was all those things and I looked up to her, hoping that someday I would maybe be just a little like her.

Aunt Mary Roebling, according to Fortune magazine, was known as the most powerful woman of the 20th century. Widow of Siegfried Roebling she was left a large holding of stocks to Trenton Trust in 1937, with the encouragement of her father and father-in-law decided to take on the management of the bank and became the first woman to run a major U.S. Bank. Under her leadership assets of Trenton Trust rose from 17 million to 137 million in 30 years, remember this was in the final years of the Great Depression and post-World War II, with her success, she became, the 1st female governor of the American Stock Exchange, A strong supporter of working women and equal pay for equal work, Mary Roebling believed that women could be whoever they wanted to be. “Mary G. Roebling didn’t wait for women’s lib, she was ahead of it, way ahead!” in 1988 the Mary G Roebling Building opened, the first government building named for a female, located at 20 W State St, Trenton, NJ

Her success demanded practically all of her time and didn't allow her to do things like cook her own meals, or what most would consider a woman's job, so she "Contracted" a staff of others to do it for her. Some might think of them as employees, but they were people she liked, and trusted, most didn't have specific hours or days, they were there for her when needed, or if other members of her family needed them, and she was there for their families. Most became lifelong friends "Contracted" to do what she needed, when she needed, and if her family needed help, they would fill in for her absence. I personally remember that when I had my 2nd boy, she sent "Ruth" to help when I got home from the hospital; at the time Johnny traveled a lot, I tried refusing, but Aunt Mary insisted, and said Ruth loved babies and would love helping, which Ruth did, she even potty trained Johnny for me during that time, just example of the relationship between Aunt Mary and her "contracted" help.. In 1980 Aunt Mary was asked to share 2 recipes, for a collection of recipes by a lifelong friend, her Grape Cocktail Tidbit was one, and Exotic Cantaloup Dessert the other, at that time she tried explaining what she meant by "contracted help" and that it was not a normal employee/boss relationship, it was a friend to friend relationship, each benefitting from each other.
