Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 T butter
¾ c diced onion
½ c ketchup
3 T vinegar
2 T brown sugar
1 tsp prepared mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tin lima beans, drained
1 tin kidney beans
1 tin pork and beans
(I almost always use a can of chili-style beans in my mix, but truthfully, you can use any kind of bean here including home canned black or pinto beans or chick peas. Be sure to drain and rinse beans before adding to pot except for pork and beans or similar style)

Directions:
Directions:
In large frying pan, melt butter and add onions. Fry till almost cooked, and add remaining ingredients. You can pop into crockpot or small roaster into oven. It only requires 15-20 minutes in fry pan or oven but this dish is very forgiving and flavours meld even better if given an hour or two to simmer. Crock pot can stay on low for afternoon while you prep the rest of your meal. Goes really well with grilled chicken, potato salad and coleslaw.
Also, sometimes when I've run out of time, I cheat and just add a mild bbq sauce, like Kraft, to beans in crockpot and heat till thoroughly instead of making my own sauce.
