8 c. sifted flour
4 yeast cakes
1-½ T. sugar
2 c. lukewarm milk
2 sticks margarine
1 T. salt
1 c. sugar
2 T. Crisco (heaping)
3 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Place flour in large bowl. Make hole in center. Mix yeast cakes and 1-½ T. sugar with ½ c. lukewarm milk until melted. Pour in hole of flour and lightly cover with flour. Let set while yeast rises.

While waiting melt margarine, Crisco and 1-½ c. milk. Cool until lukewarm - not too hot. Beat eggs, salt and 1 c. sugar together.

Add egg mixture to yeast and flour and work well.

Add milk mixture and knead until smooth.

Lightly grease sides of bowl and lightly sprinkle with flour. Cover with dishtowel and let rise for two hours in warm place.

Cut into three sections. Roll each section out to ¼-inch thickness. Spread with raisins and cinnamon. Roll up and braid. Place in greased bread pan(s). Brush with melted Crisco. Cover with towel. Let rise then bake. Do not bake on low rack.
