Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4lb brisket of beef
¼ c. vinegar
3 Tablesps. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. sugar
Liquid Smoke
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 Tablesp. dry mustard
1 teasp. Tabasco
2 cups chili sauce or catsup

Preheat oven 300º. Wash beef, trim off excess fat. Blend remaining ingredients. Put beef in shallow roasting pan. Pour ingredients over beef. Cover with foil. Roast for 2 hrs, allowing 30 minutes per lb. Baste meat frequently during cooking with pan juices. If sauce gets too thick, then add a little consommé. I slice onions on top of beef for extra flavour. Slice thin. Serve on hot French/Sour Dough Rolls, spooning sauce over meat.
Mom marked the recipe V.G. and 1974 recipe.
