¼ cup each of the following dried beans:

Small lima beans, butter beans, black-eyed peas, split green peas, pinto beans, red kidney beans and navy beans.

¼ cup dried lentils

Wash beans. Drain and add 2 quarts water and ½ ham hock, 1 or 2 large onions, chopped, and bay leaves. Bring to boil and simmer 2 ½ - 3 hrs. Add at least 1-28 oz can tomatoes, 2 teasps. chili powder, 1 Tablesp lemon juice, salt & pepper to taste. Simmer 30 more minutes. Before serving, can add sliced Polish sausage.
