1 c. sugar
5 T cornstarch
dash walt
3 c. milk
3 egg yolks slightly beaten (save whites for meringue)
Coconut -1 cup
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
)Place some coconut on a cookie sheet & toast in oven to put on top of pie.
Combine, sugar, cornstarch & salt in sauce pan. Mix well. Gradually add milk stirring constantly. In another bowl have egg yolks ready. When the above mixture is fairly thick, remove some of the hot mixture & stir into egg yolks Then add all egg yolk mixture to the rest of the hot mixture & cook until thick. Stir all the time. Stir in coconut & vanilla. Pour into prebaked pie shell. Top with meringue and follow instructions to bake meringue. Top with toasted coconut.
