1 3/4C Sifted flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/3 C Cocoa
1/2 C shortening.
1C Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/4C Milk
18 regular Marshmallows cut in half

Frosting: 1/2C batter
5Tbsp Cocoa
3Tbsp Karo
1 tsp Vanilla
5-6 C powdered sugar
Hot water to make proper consistency.

Cream cocoa, shortening, sugar. Add eggs and mix. Add milk, vanilla and mix. Add other dry ingredients and mix. Make into walnut size balls. Bake 8 minutes @ 350 degrees. Remove and place marshmallows, cut side down on each cookie. Bake 2 minutes longer. (Do not overbake). Cool and frost.

Frosting:
Cream butter, cocoa, vanilla and Karo together. Add powdered sugar. Blend a little. Add hot water to spreading consistency.
