2 c. sugar
1 c vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 c. finely chopped dates
chopped nuts, optional

Topping:
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. chopped nuts

Beat together sugar, oil and eggs. Add Vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, soda, salt, water and cinnamon together. Gradually add to the egg mixture (batter will be stiff). Fold in apples, nuts and dates. Spoon mixture into 2-5x9 greased loaf pans. Prepare topping and sprinkle over the bread batter. Bake at 350º for 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.
