Ingredients: 25g butter 250g sweet shortcrust pastry 1kg Green dessert apples 150g caster sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 3tbsp milk 150ml single cream 2 eggs Icing sugar for dusting

Directions: |
Directions:1: Butter a 25cm bottomed flap tin and line with the sweet shortcrust pastry.Prick the base of the pastry case all over with a fork.
2: peel, core and quarter the apples. Slice the quartered apples without separating the slices and spread them out fan fashion on the base of the tart.
3: sprinkle the apples with 25g of the sugar and then with the cinnamon , bake in a preheated oven 200°C for 20 minutes.
4: Mix the remaining sugar in a bowl with the milk, cream and eggs. Beat lightly then pour over the cooked apples. Return to the overn for a further 10-15 minutes. Serve the tart warm dusted with icing sugar |
