2 lbs. beef chuck, cubed
2 T. shortening
1 c. chopped onion
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 T. sugar
1 T. paprika
2 T. vinegar
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
⅛ tsp. garlic powder

2 T. flour
Hot cooked noodles

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet or cooking pot, brown the beef in shortening. Add the next seven ingredients (onion through garlic powder). Add 1 cup water, 1 tsp. salt, dash pepper. Cover and simmer, stir occasionally, 90 minutes to 2 hours till tender. At end, blend flour with ¼ c. cold water, stir into pot and cook until thickened and stir one minute longer. Serve over hot noodles.
