1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar, optional
4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. oil
Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients. Add milk, egg & oil. Beat well. Bake in greased 8x8 pan 15-20 minutes at 400.

We always ate this topped with butter and maple syrup, yum! Also good with chili, could be made into cornbread muffins but reduce the bake time. - Kris
