3 Tbls butter
1 small onion, diced
1 rib celery,diced
1 large carrot, diced
Ham chunks
1/2 lb peas or lentil ( use more if thicker soup desired
4 cups chicken broth (add partial ham liquid if desired)
2 bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Turn pressure cooker to sauté. Melt butter. Add onion, carrot and celery and cook until softened.

Add peas/ lentils, chicken broth, ham and bay leaves.

Turn cooker and turn to high pressure for 15 minutes. Allow pressure to release minimum of 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Peas may take a little longer than lentils. If making in slow cooker plan on 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
