1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. pecans (or walnuts)
2 sticks margarine
2 cups flour
1 jar of caramel ice cream sauce
1 box of vanilla ice cream (or other desired flavor), softened

Mix together first 3 ingredients and spread on cookie sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes at 400. Stirring occasionally. Cool. Crumble 1/2 of the mixture in 9x13 pan. Drizzle 1/2 jar of caramel ice cream sauce on crumbs. Put the ice cream (softened) on the crumbs. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top and drizzle the rest of the caramel on top of that. Freeze.
