1 Granny Smith (or other cooking apple), peeled and cut into 8 slices
1 can crescent rolls
1 stick butter
1/2 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
Cinnamon/sugar mixture

Directions:
Directions:
Wrap each apple slice in a crescent roll, sealing edges. Place in a flat baking dish and sprinkle brown sugar between the individual dumplings. Heat butter, water and sugar until butter is melted, and pour into dumplings. Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture over the dumplings. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, or plain.
