2 extra-ripe bananas
1 pk pound cake mix (use BettyCrocker Pound Cake mix)
1 medium banana chopped (about ½ cup chopped)
¾ cup sliced almonds
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup water
¼ cup margarine
1 tbsp. Rum extract

Directions:
Directions:
Purée 2 small bananas in blender to measure ⅔ cup.
Prepare cake milk according to package directions, substituting banana purée for water. Stir in chipped banana.
Sprinkle almonds evenly over greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan.
Pour batter over almonds.
Bake 325º for 60-70 minutes until wooden tooth pick comes out clean.
Cool in pain for 10 minutes. Place cake upside done on a plate.
Combine sugar, water and margarine in a saucepan. Cook while stirring until sugar is dissolved. Stir in rum extract. brush warm glaze over op and sides of cake. Cool before slicing.
Two loaf cakes can be made from one mix.
