8 tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp black pepper
32 oz chicken broth
2 tsp dry ranch seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic salt
2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
Steamed rice for serving

Topping ideas:
Tomatoes
Sliced olives
Shredded cheddar cheese
Chopped or sliced almonds
Sunflower seeds
Green onions
Canned mandarin oranges
Canned pineapple tidbits
Dried cranberries
Celery
Canned chow mein noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Season chicken with 2 tsp minced onion, 1/8 tsp pepper, and 1 tsp dry ranch seasoning. Cook and shred.

Place butter in large sauce pan over medium heat. Stir to melt. Slowly whisk in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth thick, about 2 minutes.

Slowly whisk in broth until smooth. Increase heat to high and whisk until thick, about 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, ranch seasoning, garlic salt, and cooked chicken breast. Stir to combine well.

Serve over hot cooked rice and top with desired toppings.
