2 pkg. instant vanilla pudding, 4 serving size each
4 cups milk
72 unsalted soda crackers, approximately
4 cups frozen whipped topping (in a tub), thawed

Fruit Sauce:
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries, blueberries or saskatoon berries (thawed frozen fruit can be substituted)
1 cup water
½ cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:

Beat pudding powder and milk together in a bowl until smooth.
Line ungreased 9 x 13 pan with crackers.
Spread one-third of pudding over top. Spread with one-third of whipped topping. Repeat layers twice more.
Refrigerate for 24 hours, or even longer for good results.

Fruit Sauce:
Mix all ingredients in saucepan.
Heat and stir until boiling and thickened.
Cool.
Drizzle over individual servings.

This dessert looks and tastes just like French pastry. Plan ahead, as this needs to stand at least 24 hours. Delicious even on the third day.
