2 C chopped rhubarb
1 3/4 C sugar, divided
3 T butter, softened
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 C sifted flour
1 T cornstarch
2/3 C boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Cover the bottom of an 8 or 9 inch square pan with rhubarb. (Could also use a glass baking dish or deep dish pie plate)
Mix 3/4 C sugar, butter, baking powder, salt, extracts, milk and flour. (add a little more milk if too dry to pour)
Pour over rhubarb.
Mix remaining sugar and cornstarch. Sprinkle over mixture in pan. Pour boiling water over top.
Bake at 375º for 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly
