You need a double boiler for this recipe to be really easy.

3 cups water
1 large can Pet milk
1 stick or butter or margarine

Mix these together in the double boiler and bring to a boil.
Next, in a large bowl, add 1 2/3 cups of sugar
2/3 cup cornstarch
6 egg yolks*

Save the six egg whites for the meringe. The recipe will follow.

If you add the sugar and cornstarch first then stir in the eggs it will mix better. Then add 1 cup of the milk mixture to the sugar and cornstarch and eggs. Transfer that to the milk in the double boiler and cook until thick. Add one can of coconut, 2 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp butter flavoring. Pour into two baked pie crusts. Pillsbury are quick and good.
****If you want two chocolate pies, omit the coconut, and add 3-4 chocolate squares, unsweetened Herseys to the milk mixture when you put it in the boiler. It's easy
