½ c butter, melted and cooled
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 ¼ c flour
1 c sugar
4 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
⅔ c each, fresh or frozen saskatoons and raspberries
extra sugar for topping

Directions:
Directions:
Place all liquids in a bowl and mix well.
In a larger bowl mix all dry ingredients and make a well in centre.
Add wet to dry ingredients and stir just to combine. Add berries carefully. Divide batter quickly into 12 muffins, sprinkling w sugar just before baking.
Preheat oven to 400º and bake 20 minutes till lightly browned and tooth pick comes out clean.

I pick as many raspberries as I'm able each summer, and go pick saskatoons at a u-pick mostly because its so much faster than finding good spots in the wild ( plus there's less competition with bears. :)
