3 Cups Dried Cherries
3½ Cups Flour
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Cup Butter, softened
4 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place cherries in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let sit for 15-30 minutes. Cream butter and brown sugar, then beat in eggs 1 at a time and the vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients then stir into other mixture, just until blended. Stir in cherries, drained, and walnuts. Divide into 2 regular sized loaf pans or 4 small loaf pans. Either lightly grease or line pans with parchment paper. Bake 325º until done. Check with a toothpick. The top will be dark brown with a hard crust. Cool for a few minutes then turn out of pans. When completely cool wrap with waxed paper or plastic wrap. This is moister if kept for a day or two.
