1/2 cup cornstarch
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 pound butter (4 sticks) softened at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt

For decoration:
candied cherries
cinnamon candies
Holiday sprinkles

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine corn starch and flour until well blended. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt. Gradually add cornstarch/flour mixture. Whip with an electric mixer until fluffy. Place into a cookie press and press out cookies on cool baking sheet. Decorate with candied cherries, cinnamon candies, or Holiday Sprinkles if desired. Bake 12 to 15 minutes rotating sheet pans halfway through. Let cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet, then gently remove to wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
