1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. nuts chopped (walnuts work nicely)
1 c. flour
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar.

Add vanilla and flour and stir.

Add oats and nuts and mix well.

Flatten 1 t. of dough slightly with a floured fork.

Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, until just lightly browned around edges.

Cool on rack and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
