3 1/4 C Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 C margerine or butter
1 1/2 C Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 C Sour Milk or Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift togerther Flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Mix in a very large bowl remaining ingredients except sour milk or buttermilk. Beat well and add milk all at once. Then add your sifted flour mixture.

Refrigerate dough several hours or overnight. Roll dough on a lightly floured surface very thick. Beat an egg in a small dish and brush top of cookie before sprinkling with colored sugars before baking. Place cookies on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Place in the middle of oven
